eTextiles 

eTextiles are the combination of electronics with textiles to create a unique wearable project.  

Wearable technology is a great place for innovation and creativity.  Examples of wearable tech include the fitness trackers-FitBit and Apple Watch and safety wearables that often include GPS tech!

Embroidery

Embroidery is the process of created elaborate designes on fabrics by hand or by automated machines. 

Knitting, Crochet, and Fiber Arts

Knitting and crocheting is the use of tools and yarn to create textiles or fabrics for garmets.

Wool felting is one of the worlds oldest recorded textile techniques where wool is manipulated with needles to create lots of designs.

Our makerspace in the Geek Innovation Center in Crabbe Library 103A has knit and crochet kits and felting wool and tools.
