  1. IT Geek (Full Description)  Hiring: 10-15  FWS (preferred)/INST (available)  
    10-20 hours/week - $7.25   |  We do offer Co-Op Positions for students

    Summary: IT Geeks are links between IT @ EKU and EKU students (e.g., current, future, and potential) and others (e.g., families, faculty, staff, and the community at large).  They play a vital role in supporting student success at EKU by (1) supporting student-owned technology and it's connection to the campus network, software installations, and virus/malware cleanups; (2) Supporting student tech labs; (3) supporting PC labs in the residence halls; (4) checking out equipment to students and employees; (5) delivering one-on-one and group tech trainings ("Tech Talks"); and (6) assisting with electronic recycling efforts.   Day, nights, and occasional weekends, as needed.  Flexible hours.
    Required skills (soft skills you should already possess):  Teamwork; problem-solving; professionalism; adaptability; strong communication skills;  and good customer service.
    Preferred skills (skills we can teach you if you don't possess them): Basic knowledge of Microsoft and/or Mac hardware and software; basic knowledge of networking; basic knowledge either Apple iOS or Google Android devices; and a basic understanding of IT security issues such as spam, phishing, and viruses.
  2. Social Media Assistant  Hiring: 1-2  FWS (preferred)/INST (available)  
    10-20 hours/week - $7.25   |  We do offer Co-Op Positions for students

    Summary: We are looking for a social media assistant to engage our audiences across multiple social media platforms.  You will gain experience helping develop and execute social media campaigns.  Day, nights, and occasional weekend, as needed.  Flexible hours and possible remote work option after initial probation period. 
    Required skills (soft skills/technical skills you should already possess):  Teamwork; problem-solving; professionalism; adaptability; strong communication skills;  organized with a high attention to detail;  and good customer service.  Experience with Adobe CC 2017/2018, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat is good.  Photography competence or willingness to learn quickly.  Excellent communication skills. Knowledge and use of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram (REQUIRED); Pinterest and LinkedIn (helpful).  The ability to engage others with social media.
  3.  Visual Design Assistant  Hiring: 1-2  FWS (preferred)/INST (available)  
    10-20 hours/week - $7.25   |  We do offer Co-Op Positions for students

    Summary: We are looking for a visual designer who is a wiz with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, Illustration, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro CC 2017/2018.  We want someone to help turn a [sometimes] technical and complicated message into an unforgettable story and a visual feast--but can bring great, and relevant ideas to the table.  You will gain experience with project management--from planning to designing communication materials (e.g., web, flyers, posters, programs, signage, reports).  Day, nights, and occasional weekends, as needed.  Flexible hours and possible remote work option after initial probation period. 
    Required skills (soft skills/technical skills you should already possess):  Teamwork; problem-solving; professionalism; adaptability; strong communication skills; organized with a high attention to detail; and good customer service.  Ability to work with Adobe CC 2017/2018, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.  Photography competence or willingness to learn quickly.  Excellent communication skills. Be wildly creative with a passion for telling a story and creating an online community.
  4. Makerspace Assistant  Hiring: 1-2  FWS (preferred)/INST (available)  
    10-20 hours/week - $7.25   |  We do offer Co-Op Positions for students

    Summary:  Do you love to tinker with technology?  Are you creative and curious and love to share your new discoveries?  If so this is the perfect job for you!  This person will engage with the tools and technologies provided in our Makerspace, including 3D printing, Arduino and Raspberry Pi, by providing demonstrations, creating products, teaching others in one-on-one-small groups, answering questions and serving as an ambassador.
    Required skills (soft skills/technical skills you should already possess):  Teamwork; problem-solving; professionalism; adaptability; strong communication skills; and good customer service.  Experience with at least 3 of these technologies: 3D printing/modeling, Raspberry Pi or Arduino, digital design software, and related DIY/Makerspace technologies. 
    Preferred skills (skills we can teach you if you don't possess them): Comfort navigating Mac OS and Windows (and Linux) platforms; familiarity with hand tools.
